Like most of us I’ve been around music all my life. Being born in Guantanamo (Cuba) gave me the blessings of being exposed to many different kinds of Afrocuban rhythms. The island’s geographical position with Habana (west) only 90miles away from Miami/Florida (USA), Guantanamo (east) roughly 70 miles away from Jamaica and the rest of West-Indies, and South America on the other side, makes it possible for us to share many different musical styles with our neighbours.
